Institute For Research Of Genocide Canada (IGC)

Institute For Research of Genocide Canada (IGC) is a public scientific institution engaged in analysis of crimes against peace, crime of genocide, and other grave breaches of international law.

Based on the available evaluations, there are about half a million people, originating from Bosnia and Herzegovina, living in the territory of North America, who were expelled from their homes during the aggression against the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1991-1995, and they are victims of numerous and various forms of crimes against humanity and international law, especially Bosniacs who were victims of genocide.

It is a huge human potential for Bosnia and Herzegovina, which amounts to 10% of the overall population of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  It is necessary to include in these studies as well the forcibly transferred population of Bosnia and Herzegovina that currently lives in the territory of Canada. IGC will with basic research concept and orientation execute studies by type of the research in the territory of Canada. The results of those studies and research, which will be obtained during the scientific procedure and the application of methods of the scientific knowledge and study shall secure the reliable and truthful scientific knowledge that will be presented to the scientific, political and general public in an appropriate manner; the public will be informed about the events and committed crimes against humanity and international law in the republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of XX century, committed against people of al ethnicities, particularly Bosniacs.
