MAC Islamic School

The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) with the Edmonton Muslim Community commenced the MAC Islamic School, a full –time elementary Islamic school (Pre-School to - Grade 8). MAC Islamic School (MIS) is a Registered Private School in Edmonton, Alberta. At MIS, we are committed to mainstreaming Islamic Values and teaching in all of the subject areas. We cover the Alberta Education Curriculum with Quran, Islamic Studies and Arabic language. This is our fifth year in operation and we currently have an enrollment of 260 students. • Ministry licensed Preschool (Creative Minds) and Kindergarten • All teachers are Alberta Certified • Enriched Reading program for Pre-School to Grade 3. • Quran, Arabic language, and integrated Islamic Studies program • Active Parent Councils • Physical Activity and Wellness Programs (Intramurals) • Culturally diverse staff and student body • Low teacher to students ratio • Large classrooms with a full gymnasium. MIS is situated inside the St.Andrew Catholic School building on 127th street and 113 Avenue.
