Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support & Integration (MRCSSI) Manager of Finance and Operations
Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support & Integration (MRCSSI) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance & Operations Manager to join our team. This key leadership role will oversee the organization's financial management, operational efficiency, and administrative functions to ensure the effective and sustainable operation of our programs and services. The Finance & Operations Manager will be responsible for managing various aspects of the business, including cost management, risk analysis, business development, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record in finance & operations management.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and grant proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and financial reconciliations.
- Coordinate with external bookkeepers, auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Operations Management:
- Streamline and optimize organizational processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and productivity
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to deadlines
- Conduct risk analysis and develop risk management strategies
- Implement and maintain operational policies, procedures, and systems to support organizational growth and scalability.
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives and collaborate with program managers to align operational activities with strategic objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the operations team
Administration:
- Manage human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and employee relations.
- Oversee office management, facilities, and IT infrastructure to support day-to-day operations.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including maintaining organizational records and documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, operations, and administration, preferably in a not-for-profit environment.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and grant management.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct risk analysis
- Proficient in business development strategies and techniques
- Familiarity with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on team building and employee development
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
