Calling all Muslims: Have You Experienced Systemic Discrimination? Tell Us Your Story

Location: Canada

Call for Stories: Help Us Highlight the Realities of Systemic Discrimination

The Council of Agencies Serving South Asians (CASSA) is launching a national online campaign to raise awareness about the systemic discrimination Muslims face in Canada.

We’re calling on Muslim individuals to share their lived experiences—stories that reveal the everyday barriers, injustices, and challenges within systems like education, employment, and justice. Your voice can help educate others, spark change, and build solidarity across communities. If you have a story to share, we want to hear from you.

More project details:

Funded by the Canadian Race Relations Foundation, CASSA is launching its Digital Storytelling Campaign which will focus on collecting stories from Muslim individuals in Canada as part of a national project to amplify the voices and lived experiences of Black, Indigenous, and Muslim communities. The project will explore shared experiences of colonialism, systemic racism, Islamophobia, microaggressions, immigration, intersectionality, and intergenerational trauma.

Stories will inform videos, podcasts, and artwork created by community members. This initiative aims to build empathy, allyship, and solidarity across communities while challenging hate and discrimination.

Please note: we do ask for your name, but no personal information will ever be made public.

All submissions will be kept strictly confidential and used only to support this awareness campaign.
