New Mainstreet Poll Shows That A Vast Majority of Canadians Want Canada To Call For A Ceasefire

A new poll commissioned by NCCM and conducted by Mainstreet Research shows that over 71% of Canadians support the call for a ceasefire.

A majority of Liberal, NDP, and Conservative voters also want Canada to call for a ceasefire.

"The numbers are undeniable" said Stephen Brown, CEO of the National Council of Canadian Muslims, "Asked in a number of different ways, it is clear that Canadians have spoken. They do not support more war. They want us to push for peace. Will politicians of all political stripes respond to the call of the people?"

.

For the last three weeks, Canadians have been calling for a ceasefire.

We have been advocating.

We have been working round the clock.

We have been writing, litigating, and mobilizing our communities.

We all have suspected that the majority of Canadians stand for a ceasefire, and stand for peace.

And today, our scientific ground-breaking poll with Mainstreet Polling just dropped that showed clearly that the VAST majority of Canadians, regardless of political stripe, stand for a ceasefire.

.

Here are some key insights:

9/10 of NDP voters support ceasefire;
8/10 of Liberals voters support a ceasefire;
Close to 6/10 of Conservative support a ceasefire;
40.9% of Liberal voters would have a more positive impression of the Prime Minister if the Prime Minister supported a ceasefire;
55.9% either support or strongly support a ceasefire.

We live in a democracy.

Our people are speaking.

Canadians want to see a ceasefire.

.

Tell your Members of Parliament today.

CALL YOUR LOCAL MP AND TELL THEM.

EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOUR VOICES MATTER.

They need to stand with Canadians. They need to stand against the slaughter of thousands of children.

This tells us something else too.

.

Our advocacy - all of us, together - is working. Slowly and surely.

We need you to continue.

Continue to stand with us. Continue to stand together.

Bismillah.

Wa salaam,

.
