In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful,

The Muslim Council of Calgary (MCC) extends its deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the families, students, educators, and the entire community affected by the tragic school shooting in British Columbia.

We are profoundly saddened by the loss of innocent lives and the trauma inflicted upon young students, their families, and school staff. Schools are meant to be places of safety, learning, and when violence enters such spaces, it shakes the conscience of the entire nation.

.

On behaif of our board, our congregations, and the wider Mustim community in Calgary, we stand in solidarity with those who are grieving. We pray for the victims, for the full recovery of those injured, and for strength and patience for every family navigating this devastating moment.

As Canadians, we reaffirm our collective commitment to compassion, unity, and the protection of our children. In times of tragedy, we must come together across faiths and
backgrounds to support one another and to uphold the values of peace and human dignity that bind us as a society.

May the departed be granted mercy, may the injured find healing, and may comfort surround all who mourn.

With sincere condolences and prayers,

Muslim Council of Calgary
