Canadian Muslim Public Affairs Council (CMPAC) is proud to launch "Combatting Islamophobia: A Policy Handbook".

Developed in commemoration of Our London Family and in response to the continued rise of Islamophobia across Canada, this Handbook examines the systemic and societal drivers of anti-Muslim discrimination and the institutional failures that allow it to persist. Canada continues to record the highest number of targeted killings of Muslims among G7 nations, underscoring the urgent need for meaningful action.

Drawing on academic research, parliamentary studies, government reports, and expert recommendations, the Handbook advances practical policy solutions to strengthen protections for Muslim communities, improve accountability, safeguard Charter freedoms, and address structural forms of Islamophobia.

.

Islamophobia is not solely expressed through individual acts of hate, rather it is often reflected in policies, institutions, and systems that continue to impact Muslim Canadians.

Through this Handbook, CMPAC calls for substantive reform, meaningful accountability, and concrete governmental action to ensure Muslim communities can live safely, freely, and with dignity.
