First Hijabi influencer starring in Sephora's latest 2018 campaign in Quebec.

Taam Media is proud to announce its latest collaboration with Sephora 2018 summer campaign.

Guess what!

It's the first time in Quebec that we see a hijabi blogger in a promotional campaign.

As diversity becomes more and more “trendy”, Sephora makes a bold move and embraces the concept of uniqueness.

Taam Media is very proud to have collaborated with Sephora to feature Imane Betrouni, part of the #taamteam, to show the world the beauty of diversity and not using it just as a marketing ploy!

Taam Media truly believes in showcasing the diversity and multiculturalism that is a reality in today’s society. Yet, many cultural backgrounds are still under-represented in the media industry.

Taam Media has created a network of micro-influencers that facilitate the link between brands and culturally diverse millennials present on various social media platforms in order to break barriers and foster inclusivity.

The 25-year-old blogger, known as @peace.upon.faith on Instagram, who’s based in Montreal, was selected to star in the Sephora diversity campaign amongst other talented personalities. She is the first hijabi in Quebec to be featured in stores and billboards.

The Sephora campaign was shot by Saty& Prada, and Imane revealed the team behind the campaign was very accommodating of her faith, since it was shot during the month of Ramadan.

Unique experience

“I had the chance to be styled by Cary Tauben and was very respectful about my values — I wear the hijab — so he made sure it was very modest-looking,” Imane said.

“Especially in Quebec, where hijab is a continuous debate in the society, I’m very happy to see Imane as one of the many faces of the Sephora campaign, instead of debating whether the hijab should be acceptable or not in society, let’s show the world that Women, all women have their place in society- said Nour El-Mohri, founder of Taam Media.
