RIS 2018: Reviving the Islamic Spirit Conference Highlights Muslim Canadian Talent

Muslim Canadian novelists, stand-up comedians, musical groups, social media influencers, and photographers participated in this year's Reviving the Islamic Spirit Conference in Toronto, Ontario.

RIS 360 was a creative expression and performance stage in the Heart of the Reviving the Islamic Spirit Conference with live discussions and live performances from local and international artists.

Some of these artists will also be participating in RIS's Youth Program.

Somali Canadian photographer Yasin Osman, winner of the MAX Gala Artist of the Year Award for 2018, ran a workshop on photography for youth.

Chelby Marie Daigle is Muslim Link’s Editor in Chief and Coordinator. Under her direction, Muslim Link adopted its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policy so that the website strives to reflect the complexity of Muslim communities in Canada.
