On Monday April 29th students at University of Ottawa (UOttawa) began hosting a sit-in to occupy Tabaret lawn for the Popular University of Gaza, standing in solidarity with people in Gaza who have undergone 200+ days of Genocide under the brutal occupation and with Universities across North America rising up against the ongoing genocide.

University of Ottawa (UOttawa) students, alumni, and faculty have established an official encampment on Tabaret Lawn.

The UOttawa students are demanding that the University of Ottawa:

  • Disclose all direct and indirect investments made by the university;
  • Completely divest from any and all corporations involved directly and indirectly in the surveillance, occupation, and murder of Palestinians in both Gaza and the West Bank; and
  • Adopt the Arab-Canadian Lawyers Association’s definition of anti-Palestinian racism.

.

Join them by showing up to support this student movement in demanding that their university divest from genocide and apartheid!

Islamic prayers are held in congregation.

The lead organizing group is Insaf UOttawa.
