Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) to Launch National Muslim Women Employment Study
Written by Canadian Council of Muslim WomenToronto, ONTARIO, June 10, 2024 The Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) is hosting a virtual launch of its national, groundbreaking study titled, “Still Overqualified and Underemployed?: Canadian Muslim Women’s Experiences of Employment Barriers and Facilitators.”
The study explores stories of successes and challenges to better understand the diverse experiences of Canadian Muslim women in the workplace and their employers, and is part of CCMW’s multi-year project, “Addressing Barriers to Employment for Muslim Women” funded by Women and Gender Equality (WAGE) Canada.
Led by Dr. Sarah Shah, the national study aims to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace and enable individuals and organizations to have a better understanding and response to employment barriers experienced by Canadian Muslim women.

About CCMW: The Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) is a national not-for-profit organization whose overarching mission is to ensure the equality, equity and empowerment of Muslim women.
