The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.”
As Muslims, we love to boast about how we are all "one nation" but how much have we done as individuals, as communities and as a nation to learn about the oppression faced by the often ignored Muslim communities, let alone be pragmatic in our approach to resolve conflicts.
We invite you to our community dinner which will be followed by presentations about on the ground realities of the oppression faced by Rohingya and Uyghur Muslims.
Sisters Yasmin and Turnisa represent the Rohingya and Uyghur communities respectively and have been active voices in our community.
Dinner will be served at 6 pm (sharp) at the Gym.

The event is open to both men and women, and appropriate arrangements have been made to ensure everybody participates in the discussion (something our mosque struggled with in the past).
