Ottawa Protest for Palestine: New Year, Same Demands

Join us on Saturday, January 11th, at 2 PM at the Human Rights Monument as we refuse to stay silent in the face of violence and oppression and continue to demand a two-way arms embargo, an end to the genocide, and an end to the occupation.

While we enter a new year full of hopes and resolutions, Palestinians in Gaza are entering their second winter during a genocide. They have nothing to keep them warm as the rain falls and temperatures drop. Conditions have only worsened in Gaza since last year, something we thought unimaginable at the start of 2024. Children, elders, and families are forced to endure the elements in addition to the zionist bombings, while the world watches in silence.

As 2025 begins, we vow that we will not let Gaza be forgotten. We won’t allow another year of these atrocities to continue. We will continue to show up for as long as necessary until all our demands are met:

Two way arms embargo
End the genocide
End the occupation
