You are invited to attend a special ceremony at City Hall, Friday November 15 at 11 a.m. Champlain Room to celebrate the launch of United for All.
The launch of this coalition is United for All’s first step to publicly stand up against issues like racism, anti-Semitism, violence against women, homophobia, anti-black racism, and Islamophobia.
Though in its early stages, over the coming year the group will develop a city-wide plan to help address the root causes of hate and violence — with the aim of making Ottawa a welcoming city for all. As part of the plan, the group will aim to secure public and private funding to support its vital work.
As its first milestone, Mayor Jim Watson and the City of Ottawa’s leadership signed the United Nations Strong Cities Network (SCN) agreement.
We would invite the coalition members to take part in a photo-op at the end of the event.
Location: City Hall - 110 Laurier Ave W
Time: 11 a.m. to Noon
Please share the invite with other community groups and organizations with similar goal and objectives. Our work is evolving and we would grow as a coalition as we go.
