August 25th marks the 2nd anniversary of when the government of Myanmar began killing Rohingya and destroying their communities as part of their genocide agenda to eliminate the Rohingya from Myanmar. This was the latest in a four decade long list of genocidal atrocities.Almost 800,000 Rohingya fled to Bangladesh as refugees. Tens of thousands of innocents were murdered in the most brutal fashion, including babies ripped from their mothers arms and thrown into burning homes. An estimated 80,000 Rohingya women were gang raped by Myanmar soldiers. Almost 400,000 Rohingya children were orphaned. And the genocide continues for the Rohingya remaining in Myanmar today!Join us to call on the Canadian government to live up to its international treaty obligations and invoke the UN Genocide Convention against Myanmar for its crimes. Canada is still the only nation to officially call Myanmar's crimes a genocide.Help us stop the Rohingya genocide!
