Join us at King's Universty College, at the Wemble building in the Vitali Lounge (W120) on March 16th at 5pm for a short screening and a panel discussion on the wrongful death of Soli Faqiri. Soli suffered from schizophrenia and died in the custody of Ontario prison guards. The OPP has reopen the investigation in Soli's death and Soli's family has filled a lawsuit against the province for the wrongful death of their beloved son and brother.Yusuf Faqiri will be speaking on the campaign "Justice for Soli" and his family's lawsuit.Liam Kennedy, a criminology professor at King's will be speaking on mental health and the abuse of power in the prison system. We will be having refreshments at 5 pm and began to screen the documentary at 5:15 pm. There is free parking next to the Wemple Building and the building is fully accessible. All our events are free and open to the public. Prisoners' Justice Film Festival and King's University College Sociology & Criminology/Social Justice and Peace Studies is co-sponsoring the event.
