Light of Mercy has members that have experienced the transition of becoming Muslim and, as such, are well positioned to advise on what is important in this process.
We aim to provide the following:
classes including Arabic, jurisprudence, and theology to new Muslims
a place where non-Muslims can receive material on Islam
a place where new Muslims can congregate and feel comfortable
a bridge for new converts into the Muslim community to connect them to traditional knowledge and those that inherited it
We currently operate out of various masajid (mosques) and while this is beneficial in many ways, we would be better able to establish our programs in a separate and permanent facility. We are working on this and have growing support for Light of Mercy and all of our programs, so that we hope to open a centre in the months coming, insha’Allah (God-willing).
