ICNA Relief Canada is dedicated to reaching out at home and abroad through a wide range of aid and rehabilitation projects; in particular, we endeavor to respond effectively to victims of natural disasters internationally.
Responsibilities and Duties:
ICNA Relief Canada is hiring a Marketing and Projects Coordinator for Montreal, Quebec City, and the Ottawa region. The Marketing and Projects Coordinator reports directly to the Program Manager. This position will be responsible for planning and executing fundraising events using the latest technologies and business growth techniques to reach a greater audience for ICNA Relief Canada’s campaigns. The individual assuming this role will be expected to think strategically and creatively in creating awareness for the organization’s projects and assisting in their coordination using the most effective methodology and techniques. This position will also support the Program Manager in executing ICNA Relief Canada’s Domestic and International Programs and Projects.
The individual will be required, but not limited to coordinate program/projects, plan fundraising events and marketing strategies, organize social media campaigns, generate sponsorships from community businesses for various events, outline donor retention and cultivation strategies, outreach to communities, secure new volunteers while maintaining meaningful connections with existing ones, and developing promotional materials for the organization. This individual is also required to review project proposals and reports, provide guidance on projects and proposals to partners and the Programs Manager, and create systems to assist with the organization and execution of ongoing relief initiatives, organize project-specific social media campaigns, and prepare presentations surrounding the progress of each program and/or project.
Due to the nature of the work in planning and attending events, the successful candidate will be required to maintain flexible hours of availability including some evenings and weekends to work in responding to emergency disasters and humanitarian aid appeals both domestically and abroad, the successful candidate may be required tooccasionally travel to service areas in disastrous conditions and maintain a high-level of cultural sensitivity.
Qualifications and Skills:
Must have a degree in relevant field. 3-5 years of experience with major event planning and fundraising as well as project management roles. Must have stellar interpersonal skills demonstrating tact and confidence in engaging volunteers, donors and stakeholders; exceptional attention to detail; maintain a positive, flexible and proactive attitude with a professional image; and a passion for working for the greater good of humanity.

Salary: $35,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
