Help the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) Beat Bill 21 in the Courts
Bill 21 was signed into law on June 16th 2019.
The law prohibits a person who exhibits religious symbols such as the hijab, turban, or kippah from holding several public positions of power.
Public servants such as police officers, lawyers and even teachers cannot identify themselves as member of a faith group while carrying out their duties.
It is a law that intends to enforce second class citizenship based on an individual’s identity and religion.
Bill 21 legalizes systemic discrimination against minorities. This sets a dangerous precedent. Our rights and freedoms are on the line.
That is why we must oppose Bill 21 on all levels.
This is a fight for the dreams of our children.
