Based out of Edmonton, Canada, what started in 2007 as a modest short-film competition tackling everyday issues and showcasing the diversity and talents of the local Muslim community, the Mosquers today draws talented amateur filmmakers, performers, and an audience from across North America.
The Mosquers was started to combat misconceptions about Islam and Muslims, demonstrate our diversity, and provide a channel for talented individuals to express themselves.
The Mosquers Film Festival is North America’s leading film competition with a focus on promoting awareness and education of current issues related to Muslims and the Islamic faith. We are calling for submissions for the 2017 season. The film submission deadline is August 7, 2017.
