Men At Work: Building a Stronger Community

Are you a Muslim man wanting to make a difference in your community?

Have you ever wondered how to talk to a man who tells you he yells/swears/hits his wife?

How can you tell if someone you love (sister, daughter, niece) is in a bad marriage?

Do you know what to do if your Sister tells you her husband is abusive? Do you know how to get help for her and  him?

Do you know what is the Islamic perspective on domestic violence? 

Come to Men at Work a workshop on Muslim men's role in ending domestic violence!

Dr. Mohamed Baobaid 

Mohammed Baobaid, PhD, earned his doctoral degree from the institute of Psychology at the University of Erlangen Nurnberg in Germany. He is the founder of the Muslim Family Safety Project that addresses Domestic Violence in the Muslim community of London Ontario. Dr. Baobaid is currently the executive Director of the Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration. He is also a research associate at the centre for Research and Education on Violence against Women and Children at the University of Western Ontario. His research areas include cross-cultural perspectives on preventing domestic violence in Muslim and Arab Communities; In addition, he has trained mainstream service providers about working with Muslim families affected by domestic violence
